A Journey Down Yonge St., part 1: Toronto

They call Yonge St. the longest street in the world. It most assuredly is no such thing, but they call it that anyway, where 'they' means the Toronto tourist board.

It is still a long street, though. Longer than, say, the one I live on. Longer than I'd like to walk in order to catch the bus. The intrepid Google Maps car was able to follow it 57.3 km from the shore of Lake Ontario to East Gwillimbury. Here, we retrace that journey, by necessity in two parts.
